As part of the response to the juvenile justice sector needs, during the emergency situation, DCI-Palestine supported six alternatives to detention centers, in cooperation with the MoSD, to enable them in implementing new initiatives under the aim of integrating the children in conflict with the law within their communities.
One of these initiatives “Painting on Glass” was carried out in January 2021, with 15 children at risk in Jeel Alamal care center and in coordination with the Ministry of Social Development. The children participated in a glass painting course through which they expressed their feeling and acquire new skills. The products of the children were placed in a special exhibition at the care center.
