The International General Assembly (IGA), which is composed by all the DCI National Sections and Associated Members, and organised every four years, celebrated its Thirteenth Session in Nouakchott, Mauritania, on 10-11 November 2022.
A new Strategic Framework 2022-2026 setting out key objectives and actions to improve children’s rights was approved, reaffirming DCI’s historic commitment to justice for children as the overarching priority of the Movement. Gender equality and child participation will continue to be mainstreamed throughout all DCI activities.
In a context of climate change, armed conflict, increasing economic precariousness and threats to human and child rights defenders in a shrinking civil space, DCI’s fight for a decent life in peace and justice for all children is more meaningful than ever.
