HRC60 | DCI calls for urgent measures to protect Palestinian children from corporate complicity in settlements

At the 60th Session of the UN Human Rights Council, during the Item 7 General Debate, DCI delivered a statement urging states to act decisively against corporate complicity in sustaining Israel’s illegal settlements.

DCI calls on member states to:

  1. Ensure the UN database on business enterprises in Israeli settlements is annually updated, expanded, and fully resourced.
  2. End ties with companies profiting from illegal settlements, and prohibit related trade, investment, and tourism.
  3. Regulate companies under their jurisdiction that sustain Israel’s apartheid system, and stop using public resources to support complicit entities.
  4. Reaffirm the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and sovereignty over their land and resources, while condemning corporate roles in dispossession and environmental destruction.
