[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]En 2015 el gobierno de Somalia dio un paso hist\u00f3rico en lo que se refiere a la protecci\u00f3n de los derechos de los ni\u00f1os mediante la ratificaci\u00f3n de la Convenci\u00f3n sobre los Derechos del Ni\u00f1o de la ONU (CDN). Ese mismo a\u00f1o DNI se estableci\u00f3 de forma s\u00f3lida en el pa\u00eds, convirti\u00e9ndose DNI-Somalia en un miembro oficial del movimiento en mayo.<\/p>\n

Desde su establecimiento, DNI-Somalia ha colaborado ampliamente con las agencias gubernamentales y otros actores relevantes para asegurar que la protecci\u00f3n de la infancia y la promoci\u00f3n de los derechos de ni\u00f1as y ni\u00f1os se implementan de forma eficaz tanto en la legislaci\u00f3n como en la pr\u00e1ctica tras la ratificaci\u00f3n del CDN.<\/p>\n

DNI-Somalia ha decidido centrarse en los problemas de justicia juvenil y los ni\u00f1os desplazados como primer paso.<\/p>\n

A trav\u00e9s de la supervisi\u00f3n de diferentes centros de privaci\u00f3n de libertad, DNI-Somalia ya se ha involucrado en casos concretos como el de Salma, un chico al que golpearon con un rifle estando bajo la custodia de la polic\u00eda de Mogadiscio.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, DNI-Somalia llev\u00f3 a cabo un estudio preliminar en Mogadiscio para identificar las necesidades de los ni\u00f1os desplazados y tomar las medidas adecuadas. DNI-Somalia destac\u00f3 que los ni\u00f1os desplazados en Mogadiscio se enfrentan a trastornos psicol\u00f3gicos, a la exposici\u00f3n a violencia y abusos, a la explotaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica y a la falta de acceso a educaci\u00f3n, entre otras cosas. El primer paso que ha dado DNI-Somalia ha consistido en establecer servicios de recreo y otros tipos de lugares adaptados a los ni\u00f1os para proporcionar un entorno adecuado y propicio a los ni\u00f1os que lo necesiten. DNI-Somalia ahora tiene como objetivo el refuerzo y desarrollo de actividades similares para asegurar que los ni\u00f1os desplazados puedan disfrutar de su infancia y tener acceso a los derechos m\u00e1s b\u00e1sicos a pesar de la cruda realidad a la que se enfrentan cada d\u00eda.<\/p>\n
