La violencia contra los ni\u00f1os sigue siendo un problema mundial fundamental y transversal.<\/strong> DNI crea continuamente acciones para prevenir y combatir la violencia contra los ni\u00f1os en todos los contextos, particularmente en el \u00e1rea de la justicia juvenil y, m\u00e1s recientemente, centr\u00e1ndose en la violencia de g\u00e9nero.<\/strong><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

DNI ha sido un socio importante en la colaboraci\u00f3n de las ONG en la preparaci\u00f3n del Estudio de las Naciones Unidas sobre la Violencia contra los Ni\u00f1os en 2006<\/strong> y su posterior seguimiento. DNI-SI contribuye regularmente al trabajo del SRSG sobre la violencia y los ni\u00f1os. Del mismo modo, DNI-SI es un miembro activo del\u00a0Grupo de trabajo de Child Rights Connect sobre los ni\u00f1os y la violencia<\/a>.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

El prop\u00f3sito de este grupo es aunar esfuerzos para abogar por la eliminaci\u00f3n de la violencia contra los ni\u00f1os con la maquinaria de los derechos humanos de las Naciones Unidas en Ginebra y monitorear la implementaci\u00f3n de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, en particular la Meta 16.2 para acabar con el abuso, la explotaci\u00f3n, el tr\u00e1fico y la trata, todas las formas de violencia y tortura contra los ni\u00f1os.<\/strong> DNI-SI tambi\u00e9n es miembro de la Alianza Global para Acabar con la Violencia contra los Ni\u00f1os<\/a>\u00a0y el\u00a0Consejo Internacional de ONG sobre la Violencia contra los Ni\u00f1os<\/a>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Al nivel nacional, las secciones nacionales de DNI trabajan directamente con los ni\u00f1os que son v\u00edctimas de violencia, abuso, explotaci\u00f3n y negligencia<\/strong>, as\u00ed como con los ni\u00f1os en riesgo y que necesitan protecci\u00f3n. En 2017, DNI en todo el mundo, desde Am\u00e9rica a \u00c1frica y desde la regi\u00f3n de MENA a Europa, apoy\u00f3 a ni\u00f1os v\u00edctimas de violencia, como violencia comunitaria, explotaci\u00f3n sexual comercial, tr\u00e1fico<\/a>, violencia en l\u00ednea, trabajo infantil<\/a> y violencia de g\u00e9nero.<\/p>\n

Las secciones nacionales de DNI trabajan con ni\u00f1os v\u00edctimas de violencia a trav\u00e9s de varios proyectos, programas y actividades<\/strong>, que incluyen asistencia directa, desarrollo de capacidades, promoci\u00f3n y defensa. En Colombia<\/strong>, por ejemplo, DNI vigila los casos de violencia sexual contra ni\u00f1as ind\u00edgenas, mientras que en Costa Rica<\/strong>, DNI centra sus actividades en la lucha contra el trabajo infantil en la industria del tabaco. Del mismo modo, DNI en el L\u00edbano<\/strong> ofrece programas de capacitaci\u00f3n y educaci\u00f3n para mejorar las condiciones de vida de los ni\u00f1os que trabajan o corren el riesgo de trabajar en las peores formas de trabajo infantil.
