Ending Violence Against Children in Justice Systems: Strategies for Civil Society

This report follows up on the UN Study of Violence against Children in October 2009, a study which the Defence for Children International actively campaigned for and continues to work to make sure its results are implemented.

The report explores the specific role of civil society organisations in utilizing the recommendations of the World Report on Violence against Children on ending violence in Justice Systems (chapter 5 of the United Nations Study). Eight case examples from civil society organisations illustrate different strategies or activities for follow-up intervention in practice. These case studies can provide guidance to NGOs wishing to undertake similar follow-up actions.
