Halley Movement partnered with CIVICUS, DCI-Mauritius and other partner organizations to launch a Global Day of Citizen Action workshop in Mauritius. The event took place on Saturday 16 May at the seat of Halley Movement.
In her opening remarks, H.E. Dr N Nkowe, High Commissioner of South Africa, spoke about the importance of citizen actions, which is to get people think about civic space, understand their rights, increase awareness about the importance of civic space and the need to mobilise and engage.
During the workshop, DCI-Mauritius notably contributed to the panels on child rights issues, including indiscipline and violence at schools and child safety on the Internet.
