DCI-Africa Regional Desk coordinator, Prodige Kabunga, intervened today at the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACERWC) Ordinary Sessions. The DCI-Africa statement delivered for the 36th Session in November 2020 can be found here.
This Statement was delivered for the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the African Children’s Charter (ACERWC) – adopted in July 1990, and entered into force in November 1999.
DCI obtained the observer status of the ACERWC in April 2017, during the 29th Ordinary Session.
